Business Challenge:

For the hotel chain to:

  • Identify and validate Resident VS. Non-Resident guests, guest sentiments, needs, tastes, and preferences by loyalty segments, guest personas, restaurant usage by in-house guests
  • Understand revenue per cover, per table, and other standard metrics
  • Popularity of menu by season, time(week/weekday), location
  • Opportunities lost due to not addressing guest needs in time or context

Benefits Achieved:

With the recommendation system, the recommender was able to suggest items that would sell in place of another item to gain at least 8% higher revenues while not compromising on the price parity of the customer.
