Full Life Cycle Project Execution for an Inter Bank Cheque Transfer (IBCT) Application

Customer

The customer is the ninth largest bank in the world and ranked amongst the Fortune 100 organizations.

Business Need

The customer had an existing cheque clearing application that was developed on UNISYS mainframe with JSP COBOL language. There was need to migrate this application to contemporary technologies to cater to rapid changing business requirements. Key business needs for this project included:

	Migration to a newer and contemporary technology
	Enhancements to the existing application, by catering to new business requirements
	Platform standardization within Group Payments Systems area within the bank
	Ease of maintenance and support

How We Helped

	In order to address any technical gaps that could potentially arise, additional process was introduced to request for customer review and sign off for low level design specifications
	Difficulties in replicating some of the hardware and software environments back in offshore overcome by positioning an onsite coordinator (working closely with customer teams and having access to all required hardware and software environments)
	The unavailability of scheduling tool for tests performed at offshore was overcome by development of simulated environment that represented the production environment
