The client is the second largest mortgage service provider and sixth largest bank in the UK. The bank is part of the top 10 banking groups in the world and the group is ranked mongst the Fortune 100 companies. ITC Infotech operates a dedicated offshore development center (ODC) for the client since last 6 years.

The client had an existing inter-bank cheque clearing application that was developed on UNISYS mainframe with JSP COBOL language. There was need to migrate this application to contemporary technologies to cater to rapid changing business requirements. Key business needs for this project included:

	Cheque sorting and data feed to various products within the bank group
