Independent research firm, Forrester Research, Inc., interviewed ITC Infotech for its report “Solvency II — what it means to you” dated 3rd February, 2011.
The report explains how firms that reorganize for Solvency II compliance enjoy faster time-to market for new products (along with a more-accurate understanding of product costs) as well as potentially more-efficient closes and better fraud identification.
The report underlines the importance of being Solvency II compliant and goes on to advice how global insurance firms need to take urgent action to avoid being compelled to adopt a standard model for computing their capital requirements. For the leanest insurers, this presents the risk of either scaling back their premium income or of looking for an injection of up to 20% more capital. For those insurance firms that grasp the opportunity, though, Solvency II offers a catalyst to rationalize the enterprise flow of data and drive more-informed decisions about the capital required to support underwriting risks in new and existing markets.
ITC Infotech is one of the five service providers and user firms that were interviewed on Solvency compliance.
