Non-Executive Director & Chairman
Mr. Deveshwar is the Chairman of ITC. He was appointed as a Director on the Board of ITC on April 11, 1984 and became the Chief Executive and Chairman on January 1, 1996. On splitting up of the role of the Executive Chairman between Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from February 5, 2017, Mr. Deveshwar, as Chairman and Non-Executive Director, assumed the role of Mentor to the CEO and Corporate Management Committee of ITC.
Deveshwar joined ITC in 1968 and is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Harvard Business School. Between 1991 and 1994, he led Air India as Chairman and Managing Director.
Articulating a Vision to put Country before Corporation and serve larger national priorities, he has led ITC's strategic thrust to create multiple drivers of growth that would make a significant and growing contribution to the Indian economy. He also shaped and implemented a Strategy of Organisation to effectively manage multiple businesses whilst retaining focus on each one of them, in the process deriving unique sources of competitive advantage from ITC's diversity. Deveshwar has also championed the cause for Sustainability world-wide bringing into focus the need to innovate corporate strategies that not only enhance shareholder value but add significantly to the development of natural and social capital.
Spearheading a journey of growth that has led the Harvard Business Review to rank him as the 7th Best Performing CEO in the world, his stewardship has guided ITC to become India's foremost FMCG marketer, the country's largest and greenest Paperboards and Packaging business, a globally acknowledged pioneer in farmer empowerment through its wide-reaching Agri Business, the second largest Hotel Chain in India and a trailblazer in 'green hoteliering'. Deveshwar has served as a Director on the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India and as a member of the National Foundation for Corporate Governance. He is also the former Chairman of the Society and Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He serves on the National Executive Committees of some of India's premier trade and industry bodies, and has served as a member of the UK-India CEOs Forum and US-India CEOs Forum instituted by the respective Governments. Deveshwar is a past President of CII.
In 2011, Deveshwar was conferred the Padma Bhushan, one of the highest civilian awards in the country, by the Government of India. Amongst several other awards and recognitions during his distinguished career, Deveshwar has been honoured with the Global Leadership Award by the US-India Business Council of the US Chamber of Commerce in 2010, the Business Leader of the Year Award from the All India Management Association in 2012, Business Person of the Year Award 2006 by the UK Trade & Investment, and the Sustainability Leadership Award 2007 conferred at Zurich at the International Sustainability Leadership Symposium. He was inducted to the prestigious Hall of Pride at the Indian Science Congress in 2006. Earlier, he was also named Manager Entrepreneur of the Year 2001 by Ernst & Young. The Economic Times has conferred on Deveshwar, the Indian Visionary Business Leader Award and the Smart Green Leader Lifetime Achievement Award, the Bombay Management Association has honoured him with the Management Man of the Year Award, and the Calcutta Management Association has inducted him as the first leader on the Management Hall of Fame.
S Sivakumar is the Non-Executive Vice-Chairman of ITC Infotech India Limited, and its subsidiaries in the UK and the USA. He is also the Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of ITC Infotech India Limited.
Sivakumar is the Divisional Chief Executive of the Agri Business Division of ITC Limited and a Member of the Corporate Management Committee of ITC Limited.
Topper of the Class of 1983 from the Institute of Rural Management Anand, (IRMA), Sivakumar served a farmers' cooperative for six years before joining ITC Limited in 1989.
Sivakumar has conceptualised the path-breaking ITC e-Choupal model, and is spearheading its roll out across rural India.
Sivakumar is also the Chairman of National Agricultural Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and a Member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Social Innovation and a member of the UN Global Compact's Core Advisory Group to develop Sustainable Agriculture Business Principles.
Sivakumar served on the Boards of India's National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Indo US Knowledge Initiative on Agriculture, Institute of Rural Management Anand, and the Private Sector Committee of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), among other organisations.
Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer
Sushma Rajagopalan is Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, ITC Infotech and Director on the Board of ITC Infotech (USA) Inc. and ITC Infotech Ltd., UK. She is also the Chairperson of NASSCOM IT Services Council.
With over 28 years of experience, Sushma has held senior positions at various companies including CMC, Citicorp, iGate, Zensar, L&T Infotech and LiquidHub in leadership roles across HR, global business operations, marketing, sales & delivery, consulting and M&A. She has led organizational transformation, headed strategy & corporate development and has been responsible for several large deal acquisitions through planned strategic investments.
Sushma has won numerous accolades which includes “Innovator in Technology” in 2013 and “Best Technology Woman Leader” in 2011.
She holds a BSc from Women’s Christian College, MA in Personnel Management from TISS and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
B.B. Chatterjee is the Non-Executive Director on the Board of ITC Infotech India Limited, and its subsidiaries in the UK and the USA.
Chatterjee is the Executive Vice President & Company Secretary of ITC Limited and a Member of the Corporate Management Committee of ITC Limited. He joined ITC in May, 1983. He is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and a Law Graduate and has over 33 years experience in Corporate Laws.
Chatterjee besides being on the Executive Committee of Indian Chamber of Commerce and the Managing Committee of The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) is also Chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee of BCCI. He has also served on the Central Council and the Secretarial Standards Board of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is also on the Board of several subsidiaries of ITC.
Partho Chatterjee is an Independent Director on the Board of ITC Infotech India Limited, and a member of the Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Board.
Chatterjee is a Chartered Accountant and has over 35 years of experience in the area of finance. He began his career with Macneill & Barry Limited after which he moved to ITC Limited in 1974 and retired in 2009 as the Chief Financial Officer. He has been associated with various management institutes including as past President of the Calcutta Management Association and The Institute of Internal Auditors – India, Calcutta Chapter. He was also a Central Council member and the Eastern Region Vice President of the All India Management Association. He is presently an Independent Director of iMerit Technology Services Private Limited and a partner of Messrs. D. K. Verma & Associates, Chartered Accountants. He is also a Member of the Academic Council of the Globsyn Business School.
Rajiv Tandon is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of ITC Infotech India Limited, and its subsidiaries in the UK and the USA. He is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee of ITC Infotech India Limited.
A Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with over three decades of experience, he is the Whole time Director and Chief Financial Officer of ITC Limited. Tandon has held various positions in ITC Limited including Executive Vice President - Finance & MIS of the Tobacco Division, Executive Vice President - Corporate Finance, Finance Advisor and member of the Management Committee of Agri Business and Tobacco Division. He also chairs the Board of Investment Subsidiaries of ITC Limited.
He was named the best CFO in India by Business Today in 2013. He has held several important positions in various industry bodies including Chairman of the Expert Committee on Banking and Finance (Indian Chamber of Commerce), Member - Taxation and Company Law Committee (Confederation of Indian Industry) and is currently Member - Managing Committee (Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry), Member - CII-CFO Forum as well as Member of the Capital Markets Committee of FICCI.
Ranjit G Jacob is an Independent Director on the Board of ITC Infotech India Limited, and a member of the Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Board.
Jacob is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT, Chennai and holds a management degree from Harvard University. He has over 48 years of experience in the area of operations and as business head. He began his career with ITC Limited in 1967 as Management Trainee and retired in 2009 as Research Head – ITC R&D. Since 2011 he is on the Advisory Board of Kemin Industries, Chennai.
