Our customer had carried out desktop and laptop standardization and needed a team
to maintain these standards and keep the environment contemporary. Towards this,
our customer had created a project office staffed by resources entrusted with this
responsibility. To reduce cost and bring more synergy with central support, our
customer decided to create a focused Ongoing Development Group (ODG), with a fixed
mandate of keeping desktops contemporary. It was planned that this group would also
interact closely with the technology groups to conduct various proofs of concepts
in related technology areas. Our customer contracted this work to ITC Infotech to
be executed through an offshore service delivery model.
