Independent research firm, Forrester Research, Inc. has cited ITC Infotech in its report, “Market Overview: PLM Deployment Support”, dated 21st October, 2009. The report cites ITC Infotech among Offshore players and elucidates – “With top-notch domain expertise, technical skills, and favorable cost models, offshore PLM service providers are growing strong despite today’s tepid economy." Like some other services providers, ITC Infotech is also "growing through extended support for upstream strategic road map planning as well as downstream application support and maintenance contracts. Customers we spoke with claimed that offshore partners are also more willing to build custom functionality while still emphasizing the benefits of a globally standardized solution. As users confront persistent upgrade and associated data migration challenges, offshore players are well positioned to help reduce the burden via decision workshops, tools, and highly skilled, cost-effective resources.” The report talks about the rising complexity of application deployments for companies pursuing a more ambitious agenda for product life-cycle management (PLM), thereby creating a host of new integration, data migration, and customization challenges for application development and delivery professionals. The report sheds light on how when facing obstacles, application delivery professionals should leverage their PLM vendor and service provider as a joint team with both the resources and motivation to solve deployment problems.
