Our customer is one of the world’s largest makers of personal computers.

Business Need

Provide Enterprise System Integration (ESI) to downstream SAP/ECC manufacturing system.
This interface was required to contain various filtering functionality that could remove or add ‘Bill of Material’ (BOM) information for publication of product, sub-assembly along with location and material specific information to specified Customer “Plants” (Locations).
The OOTB functionality would also manage the ‘Deferred’ part publication by utilizing the ECN / Part lifecycle release state and associated workflow mechanisms.

Tools used - Windchill PDMLink , TIBCO Middleware, SVN – Web based source control system and Windchill ESI
ESI (Enterprise System Integration) of Windchill PDMLink was used to enable integration with other systems.
